Heat oven to 300°F. Combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/3 cup sugar, cocoa and butter; press into bottom of 9-inch springform pan.
Combine REESE’S Peanut Butter Chips with half of the sweetened condensed milk in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on 50% power for 1 minute. Stir thoroughly, if mixture is lumpy microwave in 20 second increments until mixture is smooth and creamy when stirred.
Beat cream cheese and 1/4 cup sugar until fluffy. Gradually beat in sweetened condensed milk, then melted chips, until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Pour over crust.
Bake 60 to 70 minutes or until center is almost set. Remove from oven. With knife, loosen cake from side of pan. Cool. Remove side of pan. Garnish with CHOCOLATE DRIZZLE, whipped topping and chocolates. Refrigerate until cold. Store covered in refrigerator.
CHOCOLATE DRIZZLE: Melt 2 tablespoons butter over low heat; add 2 tablespoons HERSHEY’S Cocoa and 2 tablespoons water. Cook and stir until slightly thickened. Do not boil. Cool slightly. Gradually add 1 cup powdered sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, beating with whisk until smooth. About 3/4 cup.
TIP: If desired, spoon drizzle into small heavy-duty plastic bag. Cut very small piece from corner of bag. Squeeze drizzle over top of cake.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9 x 13 inch baking pan with foil and grease with pan spray.
In a medium saucepan, bring 2 inches of water to a gentle simmer. Put the 60% chips and butter in a heatproof bowl and set it over (but not touching) the simmering water. Stir the mixture with a rubber spatula until the better is melted and both ingredients are completely combined. Turn off the heat and leave the bowl over the warm water.
Sift together the flour and baking powder and set aside.
In a large bowl whisk together eggs, salt, sugar and vanilla. Add the egg mixture to the chocolate mixture and whisk together gently. With a spatula, fold in the flour.
Immediately pour ½ the mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Next, sprinkle the chopped peppermint bark over the batter and then pour the remaining batter over this. Spread evenly. Bake for 15-20 minutes. The center should be fudgy but not dry.
Remove from the oven and cool for 10 minutes. Place Peppermint Bark chunks on top of warm brownies and allow them to soften for 1 minute. Using a spatula, gently swirl the melting Peppermint Bark to create swirls of melted chocolate.
Refrigerate for 1 hour. Trim the 4 edges of the brownies by 1/4 inch. And cut into 18 squares.
Or make brownies according to mix (or whatever recipe), take out of oven, place squares of chocolate on hot brownies and put back in oven for a moment til slightly melted, smooth the top’s of chocolate together, sprinkle crushed candycane, let cool. Then eat.
Sometimes I judge people by how much of The Princess Bride they can quote.
fun fact At my cousin’s wedding ceremony, his brother recited this to them as the best man speech and everyone started laughing and i think the bride started to cry
If this is not recited at some point during my wedding I will be greatly disappointed.
Same, Jacob. Same.
